I wanted to find a way to teach all kinds of people about microaggressions in a more exciting, interactive, and creative way than just taking a standard lectured class. Diversity Training is very broad and basic, strongly enhances people’s knowledge about other groups, affects people’s beliefs and how they behave towards others, but this effect fades over time.

A Harvard Business Review study found that improperly designed and delivered diversity training may actually create less diverse organizations. The same study found that people resist mandatory training, and that undermines the goals of the session, no matter how worthwhile and business critical.

This microaggression board game is the first of its kind worldwide. The only board game that actually teaches people about microaggressions. A microaggression is a statement, action, or incident regarded as an instance of indirect, subtle, or unintentional discrimination against members of a
marginalized group such as a racial or ethnic minority. Utilizing empathy during the play of the board game, teaches people how others feel in certain situations.
